Image Editing

Pictures are an integral part of enhancing and amplifying text content. Frequently referred to as "images" in web design, these pictures can be either a photograph or a graphically designed image. Sometimes, all you need is a better picture for your website to give it that extra edge.

Photo Editing

Today's digital cameras are capable of capturing poster-size images. But for the web, even the best picture will need to be re-sized to fit. Photographs straight from the camera can consume a lot of website real estate unnecessarily, both visually and operationally. Large file sizes can cause your site to load slowly, and large dimensions frequently affect other design elements of the site.

This service is intended to improve the efficiency of your photos on the web by paring them down to be truly useful. Cropping, re-sizing, and optimizing are standard remedies, but some photos also benefit from the application of certain image filters to tweak them to optimum appearance.

Of course, the best results are achieved when starting with a quality photograph.

Graphic Editing

"It's the same thing, only different."  Sometimes just changing the "flavor" of an existing graphic can make all the difference.  Consider how the graphic modifications in this example might influence your perception of the fleur-de-lis symbol and its use as a subliminal message carrier:

Custom Graphic Design

Original graphics can lend distinction to your site with special backgrounds, buttons, and "attention getters." Coordinated custom graphics serve to add interest to a website when placed creatively within the layout and color scheme.

Custom graphics require thought and creative process. Successful deployment depends largely on their ability to enhance the content without distracting the user from the site owner's message. You can see some of my custom graphics employed on the Nea3Now Sample Sites page.
